Windows 11 help
From download
to laser ready.
Clear steps for installing, activating, recovering, and updating DepthGraver. Keep this page handy when setting up a new computer.
Install DepthGraver
Download DepthGraver only from depthgraver.com so you receive the current, verified Windows installer.
- Download DepthGraver from the Windows page at depthgraver.com and open the installer.
- Confirm that Windows shows a verified publisher before continuing. If the publisher is missing or unexpected, stop and contact support.
- Choose Install. DepthGraver will appear in the Start menu when installation finishes.
Good to know: Pilot ZIP builds use a separate manual process. Follow the instructions included with your specific build.
Activate your license
Your purchase confirmation includes a DepthGraver license key and the number of computers it can activate.
- Open DepthGraver and paste the license key into the activation screen.
- Select Activate DepthGraver while the computer is connected to the internet.
- After confirmation, DepthGraver stores a signed activation record on this PC and remains activated after restart.
Good to know: After its one-time activation, DepthGraver keeps working offline on that PC. Your artwork is not uploaded during activation.
Recover or move a license
Reinstalling Windows or moving to another computer does not require purchasing DepthGraver again.
- Use the secure license recovery page to email the original key to the address used for your purchase.
- Enter that key on the activation screen of the computer you want to use.
- If the activation limit has been reached or the key is missing, email support and include the purchase email and the installation ID shown in DepthGraver.
Good to know: Never post your complete license key in public channels, screenshots, or pilot-feedback reports.
Email my license keyUpdate DepthGraver
The first desktop update will be a manual download. Built-in update checking is planned for a future release.
- We will email the address used for your purchase when the first update is ready.
- Download the new signed installer from depthgraver.com and confirm that Windows shows Beam It Up Laser Works LLC as the verified publisher.
- Save any active work, close DepthGraver, and run the installer. It will update your existing installation.
Good to know: Your license and local settings are preserved, so you will not need to purchase DepthGraver again. A future release will make checking for and installing updates more automatic.
Troubleshooting
- Windows does not recognize the publisher
- Stop the installation. Download a fresh copy from depthgraver.com and confirm that Windows shows a verified publisher. Contact support if the warning remains.
- The activation service is unavailable
- Confirm that the computer is online, then try again. A computer that was already activated continues working offline.
- The key is not recognized
- Paste the full key from the purchase confirmation. Capitalization and surrounding spaces are corrected automatically, but missing or changed characters cannot be recovered.
- The activation limit was reached
- Email support with the purchase email and the installation ID displayed on the activation screen. Do not include confidential artwork.
- How do I get an update?
- The first update will be announced by email and available as a new signed installer from depthgraver.com. Built-in update checking is planned for a future release.
- DepthGraver will not launch
- Restart Windows and try again. If it still fails, email support with your Windows version, DepthGraver version, and any message shown on screen.
